SAR-H bidders name their helicopters

The two bidders for the UK MoD’s multi-billion pound Private Finance Initiative (PFI) to provide Harmonised Search and Rescue (SAR-H) helicopter services have now identified the helicopters they are proposing.

     The AirKnight consortium of Lockheed Martin, VT Group and British International Helicopters is proposing to use EADS- Eurocopter EC225s, whilst the Soteria consortium of CHC Helicopter Corp., Thales UK and the Royal Bank of Scotland would employ Sikorsky S-92s.
