120mm tank ammunition - subcontract notice: The Netherlands Ministry of Defence has announced that it has selected German company Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH to undertake the manufacture and delivery of 120mm tank ammunition for use by the Dutch Army. The procurement is in the form of a three-year frame contract, with an option of two years, covering the supply of 20,700 cartridges of 120mm TPCSDS-T (M865C1) tank ammunition. The rounds are for firing from the Army's Leopard 2A6 main battle tank's 120mm smooth-bore gun (L55 barrel). Since there are likely to be some subcontract or licensing opportunities associated with this procurement, interested companies should contact the issuing authority immediately for additional information.
