Six EC725 helicopters
The Mexican Ministry of Defence has ordered six EADS-Eurocopter EC725 Cougar medium-lift helicopters, for use by the Mexican Air Force mainly in the transport and civil security roles. The value of the contract was not released.
The twin-engined Cougar is in the 11t class and is equipped with a five-bladed main rotor. It has a flight endurance of 5.5 hours and can carry up to 29 passengersm, in addition to the two pilots.
