CHILE
FCS for two Offshore Patrol Vessels
The Chilean Navy has awarded a contract, of undisclosed value, to Santiago-based Desarollos de Automatizacion SA (DESA) to install Fire Control Systems (FCSs) for the control of the Bofors 40mm L/70 cannon fitted aboard the Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) Piloto Pardo and Comandante Toro. The FCS is repoorted to be a variant of the company’s Maiten system, installed on other Chilean Navy ships.
