Support for Land Command Support System
On March 9, the Canadian Government awarded two five-year contracts, together worth C$526 million (US$425.5 million), to support the Canadian Army’s digital Land Command Support System (LCSS). The LCSS integrates numerous Army-wide command and control, communications and computing systems through one highly advanced tactical system.
The first contract, valued at C$185 million, was awarded to Thales Canada Inc., for software support, while the second -- worth C$341 million – went to General Dynamics Canada for engineering and integration support of the system.
