Through Life Support for C-130Js
On March 11, the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) awarded a five year, performance based, A$292 million (US$200.8 million) contract to Australian Aerospace and its subcontractors Lockheed Martin and StandardAero, to provide Through Life Support (TLS) services for the Royal Australian Air Force fleet of 12 C-130J-30 Super Hercules military transport aircraft.
The contract links annual contract extensions to contractor performance and cost reductions, thereby promoting efficiency and delivering real cost savings. Subject to contractor performance, support of C-130J aircraft will continue under this contracting strategy until the fleet’s planned withdrawal from service date.
