Offshore Patrol Craft
The Nigerian
Navy has recently commissioned two new 32kt Offshore Patrol Craft (OPCs)
designed by Singapore’s Suncraft
International and built in Malaysia by Nautica
Nova Shipbuilding.
Displacing 187t at full load and measuring 38.5m in length, the OPCs are powered by two MTU 16V 4000M90 diesels giving a range of 1,500nmi at 15kts.
