BTR-4 wheeled APCs
According to Polish sources, the
Ukraine is to deliver 200 BTR-4 wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to
the Macedonian Army, under a contract
of undisclosed value. The first 30 vehicles are to be delivered this autumn,
with the remainder spread out over the period until 2015.
The 8x8 wheeled BTR-4 is the successor to the BTR-80. It can carry 10-12 troops, is powered by a 500hp engine, has a combat weight of 25t and a maximum speed of 110km/h. Armament includes a 30mm cannon and a 40mm grenade launcher.
