HUNGARY

Three FPI Cougar vehicles

The Hungarian Defence Ministry has ordered three highly survivable Cougar vehicles from the USA’s Force Protection Inc. (FPI) under a US$1.3 million contract, with delivery to the Hungarian Army scheduled by June 2009.

The 4x4 wheeled Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Cougar is designed specifically for reconnaissance and urban operations, and to protect its occupants from land mines, hostile fire and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
