Strategic Forces test fire Shaheen II IRBM, twice

The Pakistan Strategic Forces Command successfully test fired the nuclear capable Shaheen II, or Hatf VI, Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) on April 19 and again on April 21.

The two-stage, solid fuel missile has a range of 2,000km. Previous firings of the Shaheen II, the first of which was in 2004, were conducted by defence scientists and engineers. © DAPSS  S.A., 2008, Switzerland
