Radomes for air defence radars:  The Italian Ministry of Defence has announced that it is seeking bids from suitably qualified companies with regard to the supply and on-site installation of special radomes for air defence radars being deployed by the Italian Air Force. The current requirement is for the delivery of four radomes for use with four long-range 3-D air defence radars, including ancillary equipment. The contract will also involve site preparation, civil works and installation, as well as the provision of technical documentation, technical assistance and training. The contract is estimated to commence on 30 November 2008 and run for a period of two years. Companies wishing to participate in any manner in this program should contact the issuing authority as soon as possible for the complete technical specifications and all relevant tendering documentation.
