Hashim grenade launchers

Under a US$2 million contract, Russia’s SPRE Bazalt is to supply the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) with 10,000 training versions of the RPG-32 Hashim rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Deliveries are to be made by late 2008, when Rosboronexport will sign a US$50 million contract to supply 25,000 operational Hashim launchers to the Jordanian Army. Thereafter, production will take place in Jordan, at a factory to be completed by 2011.

The RPG-32 fires both 72mm and 105mm grenades to a maximum range of 700m. The 105mm HEAT round will penetrate 800mm of armour and a thermobaric munition has also been developed. A fragmentation round is under development. © DAPSS  S.A., 2008, Switzerland
